We now operate a Telephone Triage system whereby the G.P.s call back the patients and appointments are given by them as deemed necessary
PLEASE PHONE 02890 741188 between 8.30-10.00am. After this time the G.P. will only deal with Urgent Matters.(Calls times may be stopped earlier if the safe capacity for the day has been filled). Our staff will ask you some questions so that the G.P. can triage your call. If appropriate the G.P. will call you back.
Please note that a standard appointment is of 10 minutes duration. If you feel your condition is such that you will need longer than this kindly inform the receptionist and we will schedule a longer appointment for you.
If you have an urgent issue please tell reception and you will be seen the same day by the first doctor or nurse that becomes available. Urgent appointments are intended to deal with the immediate problem. Please do not bring up unrelated issues during this appointment.
If you are too ill or frail to attend the surgery and require a home visit please telephone reception before 10:00 am if possible. In the case of children, your child will be seen sooner if you can bring him / her to the surgery.
If a medical condition arises out side of surgery hours that can't wait until it reopens contact the N&W Urgent Care Out of Hours Centre on 028 9074 4447. A doctor will advise you and, if necessary, arrange to see you at the Out of Hours Centre which is located across the road from the Mater Hospital.
If you are ill while away from home you can receive emergency treatment from a local General Practice for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.
